Final Paper. Due by Day 7. The Final Paper should demonstrate understanding of the reading as well as the implications of new knowledge. The eight to ten page paper should integrate readings and class discussions into work and life experiences. It may include explanations and examples from previous experiences as well as implications for future applications.
Submit an eight to ten page paper (not including the title page and reference page) on the topic listed below, incorporating at least five peer-reviewed journal articles as references in addition to the textbook: The impact of globalization.
Focus of the Final Paper
1. Design a global business or organization, outside of the U.S. (i.e. export/import, franchising or outsourcing business)
a. Define and describe the key characteristics of an effective global business or organization as distinct from a local business or organization.
2. Propose a strategic plan that addresses the following:
1. Initial planning
2. Market, country, legal, and economic research
3. Outline the development of the structure
4. Hiring, production, management, and sales
3. Evaluate at least four challenges and advantages and/or opportunities and threats (e.g. cross-cultural, foreign currency, legal).
4. Suggest recommendations for improvement by specifically referencing evidence learned from this course and scholarly research.
5. Present how you could personally apply strategies and competencies needed to be an effective global business manager.
